Improved Rate and Quality
Improving both production rate and quality is not as easy as it sounds. In fact, at some point, these two requirements start to fight each other. The IS-IBC1 is designed to control a blown film bubble well beyond the capability of competing systems on the market. Patented bubble flutter filtering technology and high speed control of the patented bladder valve provide the tightest layflat control possible at the highest rates. Internal bubble cooling provides the ability to improve production rate, improve yield and reduce resin costs.
Improve Production Rate: For any blown film producer, improving production rate by 25-40 percent with a payback that is often between 6 and 12 months, makes good sense. However, there are other benefits that come from IBC control as well.

Improve Yield: For a sheeting producer who is able to reduce edge trim, from three inches down to one half inch, there is a potential gain of up to 1.5 production hours per 24 hour period. In other words, on a 60 inch sheeting job that would take 24 hours with three inches of trim, if the trim were reduced to one half inch (with the exact same extruder rate) the job would finish in 22.5 hours. This represents a 6.25 % increase in production yield. Reducing Trim Improves Yield
Reduce Resin Costs: In another example for bag producers, excessive layflat variation means giving away money. Reducing layflat from three-quarters of an inch to one tenth of an inch can save upwards of $30,000 per year depending on resin costs.
